IYB
IYB is a material-based training programme for established entrepreneurs who want to improve the management processes of their business. The training is modular in order to meet the specific needs of the target group. IYB is based on advanced participatory adult training methodologies.
EYB
The EYB programme provides training and consulting for competitiveness and growth, enabling the entrepreneur to reach sustainable profits and provide good workplaces.
SIYB Business Game
It helps participants simulate business operations within the four walls of a room idea who want to proceed and start their own business.
Experience
“Experience shows that about 50% of participants start up a business after SYB training and these businesses create between 2.4 and 3.4 jobs.”
The SYB manual is used during the training and serves the potential entrepreneurs as a source of reference after the course. The manual explains step by step the process to follow to prepare and implement their business plan.
A standard SYB training course takes five days of classroom based training plus at least one business plan counselling session after training. The counselling session is preferably delivered within four weeks after training. After the counselling session, the SYB trainer will link their clients to other relevant business development services and, where applicable, to Improve Your Business (IYB) business management training to consolidate the business operations after the start-up.
The SIYB Association was registered in 2018. It is a membership based organization of licensed Master Trainers and certified Trainers of the International Labour Organization(ILO) Start and Improve Your Business Programme (SIYB).
The SIYB Association of Kenya provides training and business coaching services to individuals, businesses and organizations in Kenya and the East Africa Region using the SIYB methodology and approaches.

Once I joined SIYB I started my own business and found my career path.
